Astercox stands out in the I Asterivet International Symposium

Astercox stands out in the I Asterivet International Symposium

The event was held online on February 24 and 25 in English and Spanish, respectively

Last February 24th and 25th, 2022, Asterivet organized its Ist International Symposium. On this occasion, the event was held in virtual format and there was a session dedicated to English-speaking clients and another for clients from Latin America. The conference was given by the veterinarian Dr. Elvira Cano.

The conference dealt with the main protozoan diseases that cause infections in the digestive system of birds, their consequences and how the use of Astercox can prevent the appearance of these infestations.

Avian coccidiosis, a disease of great impact in poultry farming

Avian coccidiosis, histomoniasis, trichomoniasis and cochlosomiasis are the four most important diseases caused by different protozoa in poultry. However, the one that has the greatest impact on poultry production is coccidiosis.

It is a parasitosis caused by protozoa of the genus Eimeria. Coccidia multiply in the intestine, damaging tissue and causing destruction of enterocytes, poor absorption of nutrients, diarrhea, dehydration and increased mortality.

In this way, it becomes a disease of great economic importance in poultry production since it produces a decrease in productivity, high treatment costs and is a predisposing factor to other diseases, such as necrotic enteritis.

Astercox for the natural prevention of coccidiosis

The conference also showed the different prevention mechanisms commonly used, such as biosafety, cleaning and disinfection, and the use of anticoccidial products, among others.

Asterivet has developed Astercox, the nutritional supplement made up of plant extracts with active molecules that optimize the functioning of the intestinal immune system.

Specifically, this product increases the natural resistance to coccidiosis and other diseases caused by protozoa during the intestinal stages and strengthens the intestinal immune system that helps eliminate coccidia from the cells.

In such a way that it becomes an effective and natural alternative for the prevention of the disease. In addition, it is effective against all strains of coccidia, it does not generate residues, so it does not require a withdrawal period and its use is completely safe for animals.

Finally, Dr. Cano showed different field trials at the conference that demonstrate the efficacy of this natural supplement and its effectiveness against coccidiosis. For more information about the product and trials please contact us.

Astercox is part of the Asterivet botanicals line. This line of products is characterized by being composed of natural products based on bioactive molecules present in nature. These molecules have the intrinsic ability to stimulate specific cellular functions. In this way, the organs are more efficient, thanks to the optimization of the functioning of their cells.
